“Why did my concrete settle?”

Concrete most often settles because of improper fill and support below the slab. If you repair the sub-soil, you can save your slab and keep it looking nice for years to come. Many people are just beginning to learn about using concrete polyjacking in place of mudjacking to solve common problems like concrete steps repair, sidewalk repair, grain bin floor repair, void filling under concrete, concrete driveway repair, concrete patio repair, garage floor cracks, and soil stabilization; but using poly foam lifting to repair concrete has been around for over 25-years and has been used and tested by several state highway departments including our Iowa DOT.

“How long does concrete polylifting last?”

Polylifting concrete repairs will last as long as the concrete does if there isn’t some ongoing sub-soil issue underneath such as improper drainage or tree roots or something like that. Some concrete repair contractors try to cut corners with inadequate void filling after raising settled concrete. Poor quality work like this causes re-settlement and/or a broken slab down the road. We do not cut corners.

Our concrete lifting service team fills in voids and properly supports slabs after lifting, and we stand behind our work with a 3 – 5 year warranty providing a free re-lift for anything that settles more than 1/2 inch.

Polyjacking vs mudjacking:

Concrete leveling with polyurethane foam provides a superior, long-lasting repair. Mudjacking (the old way of lifting concrete) only lasts for a few years before dissolving or re-settling from the increased weight of the mudjacking material. Foam-lifting concrete provides a light-weight, strong, and very durable solution to raising concrete surfaces.

Mudjacking requires large, ugly holes the size of pop cans that are prone to having problems with the patches after the work is done. Poly foam lifting uses only a 5/8” hole, the size of your thumb, which looks better and makes for a much stronger patch. It is much better for the integrity of the slab as well.
